Insurance & Subsidence Claims
Independent Technical Evidence for Policyholders
When an insurer’s adjuster says the damage is wear and tear, gradual deterioration or not subsidence, you need your own evidence. We inspect, establish the cause, and put a scope and cost on the repair.
What We Look At
We inspect the damage, review the adjuster’s report and any site investigation, and set out the cause, the extent and the cost of putting it right.
Subsidence and heave. We assess crack patterns, drainage, nearby trees and the foundations, and say whether the movement is consistent with subsidence, heave or something else.
Escape of water, storm and fire. We establish the cause and extent of the damage, and whether the repair scope on offer actually puts the building back to its pre-loss condition.
Complaints to the Ombudsman. If your insurer will not move, a clear independent report gives you the technical basis for a complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Working with Your Advisers
We provide technical evidence only. We do not negotiate claims on your behalf, as that is regulated work. We work alongside your loss assessor or solicitor, or give you the report to take to one.
We act for homeowners, landlords and freeholders, including blocks of flats.
Knowing the Process from the Inside
Our director has run his own cases in the County Court, the High Court and the First-tier Tribunal as a litigant in person, so he knows disclosure, witness statements and hearings from the inside. We aim to settle disputes on objective evidence before a hearing, and prepare properly for one if it comes to that.
As well as expert evidence, we can help with structural inspections and party wall disputes.
